Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu is a traditional Japanese martial art focused on self-awareness and natural body movement for self-defense. Taijutsu involves unarmed techniques for striking, kicking, blocking, grappling, and throwing, traditional weapon techniques, and methods of evasion and escape from dangerous situations. Join us at the Midwest Taikai July 31- Aug. 2, 2026 at BGSU. Contact us if you have questions on the art of taijutsu or are interested in trying a class.

Allie Batey is a professional dancer and instructor with over 20 years experience. She is a choreographer and specializes in jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, ballet, musical theater, ballroom and latin basics. She adores teaching children and adults the art of dance. Solo, duet, and group lessons are offered on-location or at The Holistic Appeal in Maumee. 

Private yoga lessons for individuals and small groups at a location of YOUR choosing, are offered with Allie Batey RYT-200. Allie will work with your movement abilities to design a supportive and therapeautic yoga practice that is tailored to you/your group. All props, mats, supplies can be provided by Batey Creek or you can use your own. Allie is able to travel within a 40 mile radius of Maumee, Ohio.

Allie Batey is a certified kids yoga instructor and a dance instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience. She is a licensed substitue teacher in the state of Ohio, current art and musical teacher, and a former public school nurse. Movement is her medicine and she is passionate about sharing it with children.

Reiki and Therapeutic touch services are offered with Allie Batey.  Reiki is a Japanese spiritual healing technique involving the channeling energy through light touch or hand placement above the body to promote stress reduction, relaxation, and healing. Each session is an hour and can take place in your home or at The Holistic Appeal in Maumee.
